Father's Day: First Flight Lesson

Happy father's day everyone! This is a video that I put together for you, in order to see a really cool side of my dad that I don't think is possible any other way. He was such a phenomenal guy, and really nurtured my intrigue with flight. This footage is from a flight lesson he surprised me with for my 10th birthday. My dad had gone through flight training too between 1979 and 1981, and accumulated almost 50 hours of instruction time. Although, he didn't complete his training. This experience he gave me, along with the inspiration from my uncle to become a pilot at all, changed the direction of my life forever. As I realize this childhood dream of mine today by flying aerobatics and teaching others how to fly, putting this video together and recalling the memories of that day brings me to tears. Just hearing my dad again makes me cry, although his voice in this interview-style video sounds so soothing. After he passed away in 2005 when I was 16 years old, I've missed him so much each day. So, it means the world to me to be able to fly today and take him with me wherever I go as I remember the day in this video

I hope this video inspires you to hold on to your dreams and incorporate your dreams into your own lives, even if its just a little bit every day. I also hope that this video inspires you to be supportive of the dreams of others just as my dad was to me. Enjoy!
